Looking For The Good StuffSince reopening the Historic Walking Horse Hotel – Chais Music Hall in August 2009 I've encountered a variety of hurdles. Perhaps the most troublesome is watching a world-class entertainer perform in a world-class venue for less than a handful of people. While it would be easy to label such an occasion as a “failure”, I prefer to believe that as long as the audience is having a great time they’ll be back. More importantly, they’ll be back with their friends! For those of you who have never experienced Chais Music Hall I have but one question... why not? If you’re fed up with the complete lack of quality nightspots tailored for responsible, respectable adults then you’ve just discovered the proverbial pot of gold at the end of the weekend rainbow. Intimate atmosphere, world-class sound, lighting and entertainers, rich rosewood dance floor, smoke free environment, impeccably clean restrooms and small town charm. Need I say more? Nashville’s not the only Music City! Tomorrow night… Thursday, February 25th it’s Gerioake Karaoke at 8pm, Friday, February 26th country music with The Lee Gibson Band at 8pm and Saturday, February 27th dance with The Midnight Special Band at 8pm. There’s no excuse for staying home this weekend! In March, with the exception the 4th, Debra Christian hosts Gerioake Karaoke. On the 4th we are excited to host our first ever comedy night featuring Matthew Lumpkin. Mystery Trip All-Star Beatles Review returns on the 12th and The Midnight Special Band keeps the dance floor jumping on the 13th and 27th. On the 19th, 20th, and 21st six young Nashville country recording artists take center stage. Don’t miss Flint Creek, Walker Rainey and Julie Richardson. And finally on the 26th the Shelbyville Breakfast Rotary will sponsor a fundraiser featuring Belmont University Vocal Jazz Ensemble… Jazzmin. Twelve talented jazz singers and an outstanding band. All I can say is WOW! Proceeds will benefit Bedford County Adult Education so come out and support a deserving cause. On April 1st we will host our first ever song writers night featuring Grammy Award winning writer/producer Gordon Kennedy and on the 17th the high energy sound of Tennessee Thunder. The bottom line, things are going to keep getting better and better. However, we need you here. We want you here. And I personally guarantee the best night you’ve experienced in a long time. I look forward to seeing you soon.
